People Are Crazy....But We Already Knew That.

Why has there suddenly been several stories in the news about people being attacked with swords? I linked to this story several weeks ago.
Now we have this story. I think the news story should have been fact-checked a little better, though. It claims that the man was attacked with a short Japanese sword and then goes on to say the sword was a "katana." The katana is a Japanese longsword. If you rest the tip on the ground the tang would touch your hip. I think they either meant a wakizashi or a tanto.

Why do I know this? I don't know. I blame all the episodes of Highlander.
